£925 including mainland delivery
915mm wide
Roller diameter (without tines) 200mm
Tine penetration 63mm
Weight 144kg
The Sarrel Spiker is 900mm (36")wide) and can be towed by a suitable lawn tractor such as a Countax or Westwood. Although the spiker is heavy it can be easily manoeuvered for storage by swinging over onto the small roller. By using a couple of wooden blocks the spiker can be neatly stored against a wall.
The spiker aids water / air penetration, greatly improves root growth, for use when seeding and general turf maintenance. Each large spiked section is 11” in diameter, calculated to avoid ‘tearing’ of the turf. The tensile steel spikes are 1/4” in diameter, and 1 1/3” in length. Each spike is replaceable, held on with a large nylock nut. Also coupled to the unit is a 4.1/2” diameter roller for transportation across hard surfaces.
I can supply a 600mm width (24 inches) fitted with a handle for pedestrian use if you don't have a lawn tractor.
  • Improved air exchange between the soil and atmosphere
  • Enhanced soil water uptake
  • Improved fertiliser uptake and use
  • Reduced water run off and collection
  • Enhanced heat and drought stress tolerance

The Sarrel Spiker is 601mm (24")wide) and can be towed by a suitable lawn tractor such as a Countax or Westwood or pulled by hand. However this is heavy work and is easier with two people. Although the spiker is heavy it can be easily manoeuvered for storage by swinging over onto the small roller. By using a couple of wooden blocks the spiker can be neatly stored against a wall.
