Cresco spreaders are designed and manufactured DMMP Ltd, a British company with over 40 years experience. The Cresco 20SW estate broadcast spreader is the perfect choice for croquet lawns. The fingertip rate control provides easy control and balance of material application the exclusive Cresco 3 Port Slide System with Border Control. The slide system allows you to adjust the spread pattern individually for both left and right-hand sides. The spread width is around eight feet and the setting I use is 6.5 with the port adjuster 3 clicks out. This is exactly right for my fertilisers. With my products, the spread is a bit lop sided, spreading a foot or so further to the right than the left. It is easy to compensate by aiming a bit to the left of the bout marker. I set these at 3 yard intervals and walk up the lawn gap to gap and back down marker to marker. I leave and eight foot strip for turning at each end and do those when I am finished doing the main lawn. It takes about 10 minutes to fertilise one lawn. The spreader has a rust-proof 30kg capacity hopper and pneumatic tyres. When filling, always pass the fertiliser through a seive. This is in case there are stray lumps in the product - this can occasionally happen and seiving ensures that there is no blocking. Be sure to hose the spreader down after use to remove all product and dust from the machine. That way it will last for many years.
